Rescue Roadtrip Success! + Sailor's Sweet Sendoff
Another successful TMAR Rescue Roadtrip is in the books—and we couldn’t be more grateful for our volunteers, supporters, and adopters who make these lifesaving journeys possible! Our Autumn Leaves & Wagging Tails roadtrip brought us from Fargo ND all the way to Albany New York!
We dropped off 7 lucky dogs along the way. Here’s where the roadtrip pups officially landed:
Minnesota: Sassy
Wisconsin: Toffee & Pumpkin
North Carolina: Sailor
New York: Shaun
Connecticut: Ruth
Massachusetts: Matt
Did you miss Sailor’s drop-off? You're not alone—we had a few unexpected technical difficulties during the livestream reception. But don't worry—Sailor made it safe and sound to his forever home in North Carolina, and his new Mom, Nancy, sent us the sweetest update that we just had to share:
"I’ve been following TMAR for a couple of years and saw Sailor on a video with Keith, learning that his adoption had fallen through. But I saw that wiggle butt and just knew—this is my baby boy! After getting approved, we made the 8-hour drive from North Carolina to Ohio to meet him, and let me tell you—it was love at first sight. He was the best car rider, has already met our donkey Nelson, and has fit into our family like he was always meant to be here. He’s smart, sweet, and yes—he’s even learned to jump on the bed! We’re so grateful to TMAR for bringing him into our lives. He’s so much cuter in person!" — Nancy, Sailor’s new mom

We love hearing these “happy tail” endings, and we’re so thankful for the amazing community that makes them happen.

Heart & Hope: Our Community Spay/Neuter & Vaccination Clinic |
This past month, TMAR hosted another Spay/Neuter and Vaccination Clinic, and it was nothing short of amazing. Thanks to the incredible support of the Petco Love Foundation and the dedication of our all-volunteer team, dozens of pets in our community received the care they need and deserve.
These clinics are run purely on heart—volunteers giving their time, skills, and love to make sure animals are healthy, protected, and part of the solution to the stray animal crisis we face in our area. It’s a massive effort, powered entirely by people who believe in something better for our animals and our community.
Providing access to affordable vet care is one of the most powerful ways we can support pet owners, prevent suffering, and work toward our long-term goal of reducing the population of unwanted and homeless animals. Every spay/neuter surgery and every vaccine given is a step closer to a future where no animal is left behind.
💛 Special thanks to Petco Love Foundation for helping make this event possible. Their support allows us to reach more animals—and more families—than ever before.

🎥 Behind the Scenes with Keith: The Work Doesn’t End When the Clinic Does
Think the clinic ends when the last pet goes home? Not even close.
In this special behind-the-scenes video, Keith shares what really happens after the clinic wraps up—from scrubbing crates and folding laundry to deep-cleaning every corner of the space. It’s the kind of work no one really sees, but it’s absolutely essential to keep our operations running and our animals safe.
These clinics are built on long hours, heavy lifting, and a whole lot of heart. It’s not glamorous, but it’s real—and it's all part of our commitment to giving every animal the best care possible.
We’re so proud of the volunteers who stay late, come back the next day, and keep showing up with sleeves rolled up and hearts wide open.

Camilla is a sweet and shy white and grey kitty. She has come a long way in her foster home and is starting to blossom, she'll even fall asleep right in your arms. She will just need a little more patience from her forever family to allow her time to continue to flourish!

Zoey is about 8 years old and weighs 70 lbs. She is believed to be a German Shepherd mix. Zoey has been spayed and is UTD on vaccinations, including rabies. Zoey would do best in a home where she’s the only dog.

HOW TO ADOPT
Our rescue is volunteer-based. We rely heavily on our fosters. Most of our animals are adopted out of foster homes. Currently most of our fosters are in the Fargo and Grand Forks area of North Dakota.
We highly encourage you to apply NOW
so you can be pre-approved for future TMAR animals!

Reunion with Dude!
This month’s featured moment is a sweet and emotional one—a reunion with our boy, Dude!
If you’ve been following TMAR for a while, you probably remember Dude and the bond he shared with Keith. In fact, Keith had planned to adopt Dude himself. But as time went on, it became clear that Dude didn’t quite mesh with the resident pack—he wanted Keith all to himself.
And as much as Keith loved him, he made the incredibly hard (and selfless) decision to let Dude go—so he could thrive in a home where he didn’t have to share attention. That’s the kind of love and dedication we see every day at TMAR: putting the animal’s needs first, even when it hurts.
Keith forms special bonds with many animals that pass through TMAR's doors, and while some are harder to say goodbye to than others, the mission is always the same—to find the best life possible for every animal.
Their bond is still just as strong—and it’s a beautiful reminder of the love that goes into every single rescue.

TMAR operates in an underserved community where veterinary access is sparse and local animals are in desperate need of a helping hand. We work hand in hand with our community to save thousands of animals each year. We are nothing without our community, our volunteers and our supporters.
Every dollar you donate will go towards providing vaccinations, mange and flea and tick treatments, paying for vet bills, gas for transports, food for the animals, and our biggest goal, a shelter. You can donate financially:
